Melbourne (10/07/2025) – The Indonesian Students Association in Australia (PPIA) is set to host the 10th Konferensi Internasional Pelajar Indonesia (KIPI) or International Conference of Indonesian Students on Saturday–Sunday, 12–13 July 2025, at the University of Melbourne.
Carrying the theme “Advancing Indonesia–Australia Partnerships: Driving Collaboration, Innovation, and Advocacy for Sustainable Growth,” this year’s KIPI is positioned as a strategic forum that brings together students, academics, professionals, and policymakers from both Indonesia and Australia to foster cross-sectoral dialogue and collaboration.
Satutya Wicaksono, the Chairperson of the KIPI 10th Organizing Committee, stated that this 10th KIPI is designed not only to facilitate multidisciplinary academic and professional exchange but also to actively engage Indonesian students in contributing to the nation’s challenges through various platforms.
“In addition to accepting research abstracts, we’ve opened submissions for policy briefs and a hackathon competition to encourage participation from students in social sciences and undergraduate studies,” Satutya explained.
Jonathan H. Haposan, Director of Academic and Strategic Affairs of PPIA, added that this initiative aims to enhance the contribution and visibility of impactful ideas from young Indonesians to broader national development.
“We hope that this year’s KIPI will offer opportunities for students’ ideas to reach policymakers in Indonesia, and serve as a platform for Indonesian students in Australia and across the world to connect, present their work, and contribute meaningfully to the long-term Indonesia–Australia partnership,” he concluded.
KIPI 2025 will feature six major plenary tracks covering a wide range of strategic issues:

PPIA invites all Indonesian and international students, researchers, educators, and changemakers to be part of this event, whether as speakers, active participants, or simply as learners, demonstrating that bold ideas from young Indonesians can transcend borders and drive positive change across nations.
