At the end of August, social media were abuzz with an urgent matter related to Constitutional Court Decision No. 60/PUU-XXII/2024. Before that, we were also deeply concerned about another Constitutional Court decision on the age of the vice-presidential candidate.
Are these just other legal problems in Indonesia? Is Indonesia facing a serious underlying problem? What are the immediate social and political impacts of these events? Where is Indonesian democracy headed? What can we, as students, workers, and citizens, do? The urgency of these questions calls for a discussion.
